This program will work on the fundamentals of Soccer, T-Ball and other games. The children will work on skills needed to play these games as well as learn about teamwork and sportsmanship in a fun, safe setting.
September 26, 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM @ Gymnasium
Students will gain fundamental athletic skills while working as a team to learn games such as lacrosse, soccer, flag football and track & field events. All activities will take place both indoor and outdoor in an atmosphere which promotes good sportsmanship, teamwork, and most of all fun.
A fun and active program where students will take part in different sports such as Flag Football, Soccer and Lacrosse. Two weeks will be dedicated to each of these sports where participants will be introduced to the basics of each game in a friendly, non-competitive atmosphere.

Watertown Recreation Department is offering adult tennis classes to be held on Wednesday evenings, under the direction of Dan Cedrone, Head Tennis Coach at Watertown High School. All students are requested to bring their own tennis racquet. For those without equipment, racquets will be provided.

The Delvena Theatre Company will present ‘Meet Julia Child’ by Fran Baron. WHEN: 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 26 WHERE: Watertown Senior Center, 31 Marshall St. Meet Julia Child is a live performance featuring ‘Julia Child’ doing what she did best. The audience will learn more about her life and have the opportunity to view Julia on the set of The French Chef, an amusing and fun experience. After the performance, the cast will open up for discussion regarding Julia Child. Meet Julia Child is offered free to the public and is supported in part by a grant from the Watertown Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.

Try an exercise class at the Senior Center! The classes focus on the particular needs of seniors in a fun, safe environment. Exercises include muscle strengthening, light stretching, balance and posture improvement, and low-impact aerobics; all done to your favorite tunes! Regular exercise can improve circulation, help to strengthen bones, increase muscle mass, reduce joint stiffness, and improve general health. Plus, it’s fun!
