On the Watertown Seal is a picture of an English Colonist and an Indian exchanging, as peace tokens,  bread for fish.  Captain Roger Clap landed at Nantasket Point in 1630 and rode up Charles River to Gerry's Landing with the first party of Watertown Colonists.

On behalf of the members and staff of the Watertown Fire Department, I would like to welcome you to our website.

We are pleased to have this opportunity to present information about our department, the services we provide, and information that you should find helpful. The information on our pages changes on a regular basis, so we encourage you to visit often.

The Watertown Fire Department provides fire protection, emergency medical services, and emergency response to the citizens of Watertown and its visitors. We respond to approximately 4,500 calls for assistance annually.
