On the Watertown Seal is a picture of an English Colonist and an Indian exchanging, as peace tokens,  bread for fish.  Captain Roger Clap landed at Nantasket Point in 1630 and rode up Charles River to Gerry's Landing with the first party of Watertown Colonists.

Description
The Licensing Board members vote on all licenses issued by the Town. Candidates should have background in law, business, or related field. In order to be in compliance with General Law C.138, Section 4, this Licensing Board appointee may be a registered voter of any party for a minimum of two years.

Vacancy / Term
Three full members, three-year term and one alternate member, three-year term; one Republican, one Democrat, and two any party.
