On the Watertown Seal is a picture of an English Colonist and an Indian exchanging, as peace tokens,  bread for fish.  Captain Roger Clap landed at Nantasket Point in 1630 and rode up Charles River to Gerry's Landing with the first party of Watertown Colonists.

All public and private pools (at condominiums, health clubs, etc.) are routinely inspected on a monthly basis, with an annual comprehensive inspection, to ensure compliance with State and local regulations.

Recreational Camps
Camps located in Watertown are required to apply with the Health Department. Camps are inspected during the season for compliance with State regulations.

All tanning establishments are inspected annually for compliance with State regulations.
