On the Watertown Seal is a picture of an English Colonist and an Indian exchanging, as peace tokens,  bread for fish.  Captain Roger Clap landed at Nantasket Point in 1630 and rode up Charles River to Gerry's Landing with the first party of Watertown Colonists.

Drop-In School Vacation Sports Program

Description: This program is held during December, February and April school breaks. During the Holiday Vacation, we offer accommodating days depending on the break schedule. There are activities in the gymnasiums and cafeteria.


The week will consist of daily activities such as basketball, whiffleball, floor hockey and indoor soccer just to name a few. We also provide arts & crafts and quiet game time each day. There is also a period provided for those who bring their lunches. Each participant will receive a Watertown Recreation tee shirt.
