On the Watertown Seal is a picture of an English Colonist and an Indian exchanging, as peace tokens,  bread for fish.  Captain Roger Clap landed at Nantasket Point in 1630 and rode up Charles River to Gerry's Landing with the first party of Watertown Colonists.

Youth Organizations

All youth leagues and organizations in town are operated by parent volunteers and all have their own separate boards. The recreation department assists these organizations by providing field use, town-wide meetings for better communication amoung the groups. If you have any specific questions related to enrollment, coaching or other aspects, please refer to the particular league.
