On the Watertown Seal is a picture of an English Colonist and an Indian exchanging, as peace tokens,  bread for fish.  Captain Roger Clap landed at Nantasket Point in 1630 and rode up Charles River to Gerry's Landing with the first party of Watertown Colonists.

PLANNING BOARD

 

Description

 

The Planning Board members have knowledge of planning, architecture, engineering, law and other related fields.  The Planning Board is charged with addressing both long and short range planning issues before the Town.  They consider applications for site plan, special permits, variances, and rezoning, often recommending to the permit granting authority.

 

About The Meetings

 

  • Meetings start at 7:00 PM and are televised on local cable channel
  • Town Council Chamber, second floor, 149 Main Street
  • Second Wednesday of the month, unless otherwise noted
