On the Watertown Seal is a picture of an English Colonist and an Indian exchanging, as peace tokens,  bread for fish.  Captain Roger Clap landed at Nantasket Point in 1630 and rode up Charles River to Gerry's Landing with the first party of Watertown Colonists.

The Watertown Recreation Department has launched a Facebook and Twitter page. The Facebook address is http://www.facebook.com/WatertownRecreationDepartment and the Twitter address is @Watertownrec  and Instagram is watertownrecreation.

On the departments Facebook page displays the latest in Watertown Sports, old photos from generations back and latest updates on our current programming. Notify Me

The Watertown Recreation Department is utilizing the “Notify Me” link is located on the Town’s website at www.watertown-ma.gov, as a method of communication for the Watertown Community. It is an easy process; please follow the steps below to be updated with new programs and information from the Recreation Department.
The department will be sending out a separate email to each group on a regular basis to inform them of the upcoming program opportunities.

3) Select the box or boxes that meet your needs
4) Fill in your email address
