On the Watertown Seal is a picture of an English Colonist and an Indian exchanging, as peace tokens,  bread for fish.  Captain Roger Clap landed at Nantasket Point in 1630 and rode up Charles River to Gerry's Landing with the first party of Watertown Colonists.

What is Code Enforcement?
Code Enforcement is the commitment to provide a safe, healthy and attractive environment for all residents, businesses and visitors to Watertown through the enforcement of Zoning Ordinances and all General Town Ordinances. The Town's Code of Ordinances are enforced proactively by patrol.  All ordinances are enforced by information or reported violations from the community.
