The Recreation Department services the residents of this community for example: providing group rate tickets for family shows and local sporting events to renovations and upgrades to town's recreational facilities. We have varied youth classes from preschool to high school ages with sports, games and the arts.

The department coordinates with the Watertown Public Schools, Department of Public Works, Watertown Boys & Girls Club and the youth organizations to provide a safe and healthy environment.

We also integrate with S.P.O.R.T. (Special Persons Organizational Recreation Time) for our special needs citizens with varied activities throughout the year. Residents must submit their registrations to the recreation office only.

We recently incorporated an online registration and payments for recreation activies under ONLINE SERVICES on the main page of this website.

The mission of the Watertown Recreation Department to provide the citizens of the Town with varied and comprehensive passive and active recreational, leisure and seasonal opportunities for a wide range of age group and abilities. We will work with and/or assist any town agencies and citizens to improve any facility and/or activity that will benefit the residents of Watertown.

The department will also work with these groups to improve the recreational facilities in Watertown.

The residents of this community may apply for picnic permits at Domenick Fillippello Park and at Arsenal Park for barbeques, family gatherings and organizational events from April to October. We also issue permits for the many ball fields and tennis and basketball courts throughout the town.
