On the Watertown Seal is a picture of an English Colonist and an Indian exchanging, as peace tokens,  bread for fish.  Captain Roger Clap landed at Nantasket Point in 1630 and rode up Charles River to Gerry's Landing with the first party of Watertown Colonists.

On-Street Parking, Meters, & Overnight Parking
There is a Townwide two-hour on-street parking limit enforced during the hours of 7:00 am – 7:00 pm, and 24-hour monitoring of meters in the municipal lot in Watertown Square.

Overnight on-street parking ban is 1:00 am – 6:00 am and is strictly enforced November - April.
