About Us:

The Department of Community Development and Planning (DCDP) was created by a vote of the Town Council in August 1982 providing a formal interrelationship with staff members.

Mission Statement:

The Department of Community Development & Planning will perform short and long range planning for the community by using current methods to identify and implement community goals.  The Department will help to coordinate efforts of various boards and commissions to streamline processes and accomplish these goals.  The Department will also utilize the technical skills of department staff, exercise of appropriate regulatory control and the implementation of policies, program initiatives and services, which impact upon the community’s growth and development.  The Department will also continue to manage the premier function facility in the Town and thereby raise community awareness.
